Operation Shoebox – Help us fill shoeboxes with gifts for kids and send them to the ends of the earth! For instructions, go to or pick up instructions by the handicapped ramp.  Due date:  Nov. 18th

WAIM Saturday Volunteer Day – Nov. 10th from 9:00am – noon.  Sign-up sheet on the ramp.  Work may consist of sorting/hanging clothes, sorting housewares, or working on the dock accepting donations and loading/unloading furniture from WAIM’s truck.  If you like helping people who are struggling to get back on their feet, or you’d like to find out what WAIM is like, this is your chance!  See/contact Jan with questions. 860-429-2025

Congregational Business Meeting – Nov. 11th – Potluck after second service; meeting at approximately 1:00pm.

Surviving the Holidays – Nov. 14th, 6:30-8:30 – Congregational Church of Eastford – Seminar helps participants deal with emotions, traditions, social events and future hope when grieving a loved one’s death.   Information:;  860-974-0294

WAIM’s 26th Annual “WALK FOR WARMTH” – Sunday, Nov. 18th -   Proceeds solely benefit WAIM’s Energy Assistance Program  -  Registration begins at 1:00 at St. Joseph’s Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic.- Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at 1:30.  The Walk starts at 2:15 and is an easy 2-mile walk.  Registration forms are on the shelf in the Memorial Room.  Take a form early so you have enough time to collect pledges.  Each walker should collect a minimum of $25.  Questions?  Call WAIM at 860-456-7270 X12, or see/contact Jan from LPC at 860-429-2025;

Community Thanksgiving Service – Nov. 18th - 7:00pm at Westford Congregational Church – We will join St. Phillip’s and Westford for a night of Thanksgiving.  Also, we will bring all our shoeboxes together as part of a community project.
